The CFA Society United Kingdom

CFA UK is part of a global network. They work together with Societies all over the world to build a better investment profession – everywhere. They also work closely with CFA Institute, the global community for investors. While CFA Institute are working to improve the investment industry globally, CFA UK focus is closer to home helping UK-based professionals grow their talent.

CFA UK is a membership organisation that represents more than 12,000 individuals involved in the investment profession. It was founded in 1955 as the Society of Investment Analysts, and is part of the CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals.

CrealisLabs have been working with CFA UK for over 4 years now and provide a software development services, primarily supporting CFA UK’s largest online exam booking system.

New Online Exam Booking System for The CFA Society United Kingdom

Working closely and in collaboration with the CFA UK team we developed a bespoke Online Exam Booking Platform supported by our Enterprise Content Management System. The platform was developed using the legacy data from their previous system, which has become technically and financially difficult to maintain.

Through our new online exam booking system candidates are able to:

connect to our third-party suppliers/systems via bespoke API

Our Enterprise Content Management Systems (ECMS) are all designed with employees' needs and their existing workflows in mind. On top of all the traditional web CMS functions, we designed software that makes it easy to digitise paper content, designate user roles, collaborate with coworkers, schedule tasks, and automate workflows. Ensuring the integrity of CFA UK data and safeguarding against hackers was critical, which is why we programmed security features like Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), multi-factor user authentication protocols, simple permissions management dashboards and integrated audit trail trackers following client specific needs.

CFA UK wanted to showcase their services and expertise in a more concise and engaging way. Additionally, with more than 80% of all users accessing the website via a smartphone, they wanted to modernise their website to work better on mobile devices and ensure it met accessibility regulations. We created a bespoke, responsive, effective and adaptive UI for different users targeted on multiple devices.

Integrations

We created and connected APIs that enabled CFA UK new ECMS solution to communicate seamlessly with their other applications, including programs for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Restful API interface with Sitecore e-Learning Platform and Opayo Payment solutions. We also integrate analytics software, enabling CFA UK team to study visitor demographics, user behaviour and conversions.
